Austin Defensive Driving Tips to Avoid A Ticket:

Austin, Texas! What can you say, music capital of the U.S., possibly the world, there is also cool, hip people everywhere, not to mention some of the very best food one could possibly stuff down their gullet… it is also home to some of the absolute worst traffic congestion in the galaxy. It so bad that most of those cool hipsters you see everywhere ride bicycles to get around. Only “burbanites” and tourists are crazy enough to drive in this city.

Austin is also home to one of the most aggressive police forces anywhere with regard to traffic violations! The coppers pull over people faster that you can get up to speed, which is funny because there is so much traffic in this city I can’t believe that anyone can get going fast enough to actually break the speed limit! And I’m talking about the 35 mph zones, not the freeway, that’s a lost cause entirely . If a police officer is watching you speed he knows that in 5 seconds you’ll be stopped regardless, so I don’t know why they even bother writing tickets. They should hand out merit badges for effort instead.

Which brings me to our next subject – traffic tickets and defensive driving in Austin, Texas. If you’re going to speed, mark my word, it’s just a matter of time before you will receive a traffic ticket. Comedy Defensive Driving is the only way you’re going to find the humor to look past the fact that you got popped for 1 mile an hour over the speed limit. It’s probably a good thing that you take a little remedial drivers education because driving in the city is challenging. When class is over and you jump back on your bicycle to ride home, thinking you are safe from traffic tickets on your bike, think again. Because yes, they ticket bicyclists too.

So if you come to Austin, be sure and bring the funkiest threads you’ve got to wear cause if you show up in jeans and a polo, the hipsters will stare and point at you like you’re in a remake of The Body Snatchers. Enjoy the fabulous food and cocktails, the phenomenal music that is under every nook and cranny, the joggers and bike riders everywhere. Just don’t drive, because they sure don’t need another vehicle on the road and the police are not quite open to the idea of handing out merit badges, just yet.

Since 1989 Comedy Defensive Driving School offers a simple, fast and fun way to complete a defensive driving course in Austin, TX for drivers education, auto insurance reduction or traffic ticket dismissal.
