Since 1989, headline comedians such as Robert Hawkins, Ralphie May, Scott Kennedy, Howard Kremer, Patrick Candelaria and many more have all taught defensive driving with us. Come join the fun!

Meet The Instructors

Daun Thompson
Years of acting in both film and theatre have been paramount in launching Daun onto the comedy stage (incidentally, without a helmet, resulting in a nasty concussion). Being a funny girl is a full time job. A job that she hopes, one day, will come with dental benefits and a 401K. Unlike her work, she is biodegradeable, yet flame retardant. And gentle to the touch. Her goal in life??? For strangers to approach her and ask “Didn’t you used to be somebody?”

William DeButts
William is a Dallas native and an award winning actor. Using a quick wit and keen memory he found himself focusing mainly on improv early in his career. He has performed professionally since 2006.

Joel Malloy
Finds his passion for music and performance as a life long personal expression. While attending The University of North Texas experienced an awakening to live performance.

Eric Smith
With tons of experience as an improv actor and comedian, Eric is the type of guy that you will feel happy to have as a guest at your mother-in-law’s Thanksgiving dinner.

Evan Ramsay
With tons of experience as an improv actor and comedian, Evan is the type of guy that you will feel happy to have as a guest at your uncle’s bowling day!

Robert Branum
Robert is an accomplished improv actor with over 12 years of experience in theater, improv, stand up comedy and film. Besides teaching defensive driving he’s an avid filmmaker.

Karen Crowell
Karen Crowell first stepped up to the mic in 1989 as a result of a $50 bet that she didn’t have the guts. That event later led to touring full time as a comic in the 90’s working in clubs, colleges, and corporations from Hollywood to Miami. Her uniquely hysterical perspective holds back no punches so be ready for fun when you see her show. Lucky for us she took that bet!

Larry Campbell
With tons of experience as a comedian and actor, Larry is the type of guy that you will feel happy to have as a guest at your grandma’s bridge contest.

Sheridi Lester
With tons of experience as a comedian, Sheridi is the type of girl that you will feel happy to have as a guest at your sister-in-law’s bachelorette party!

Christian Thornton
Christian is a musician, photographer and actor with more than 25 years of experience in the entertainment industry. He has open for Bob Dylan, The Black Crows and The Grateful Dead. As an actor, Mr. Thornton has an extensive list of film and corporate work credits. His humor is smart, clever and very enteraining!
