The following are the terms of use between you "STUDENT" and Comedy Defensive Driving® "CDD". By accessing, using, registering and/or browsing this site, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the terms of this agreement.

Charges and Terms of Payment: All fees must be paid in full before STUDENT begins the course. This includes the course, unit testing and Certificate of Completion upon passing the course.

Course Schedule: Each course is scheduled per the required state guidelines for the amount of time necessary to graduate and receive certification. There are multiple chapters of instruction and testing on material covered in course content.

Falsification of documents submitted to the court is a crime and is punishable by law. By registering for the CDD course and receiving a Certificate of Completion, STUDENT states that he/she studied all of the material in the course, and completed and passed the examination(s). If CDD discovers that STUDENT has willfully misrepresented himself/herself, or has cheated, STUDENT will be stopped from taking the course with no refund of the registration fees.

Grading and Progress Policy: STUDENT agrees that he/she may not be certified or given credit for the course unless STUDENT scores 70% or higher on the exam(s). Student will be allowed 3 attempts to pass each section exam. Student will be allowed to review material if necessary. Rules for passing may be altered for applicable state course and state agency regulations.

Cancellation and Refund Policy: A full refund will be made to STUDENT if he/she cancels registration prior to completion of course. All registration fees paid are due and refundable when the course of instruction is discontinued by CDD preventing STUDENT from completing the course. Any refund will be made within 30 days of the effective date of termination. If STUDENT has not successfully completed the course within 180 days, his/her registration will be terminated without notice, and he/she will not be eligible for a refund.

Completion and Certificate Policy: CDD will issue certificates the following business day after successful completion of course. CDD is prohibited from issuing a uniform certificate of course completion if STUDENT has not met all of the requirements for course completion, and STUDENT should not accept a uniform certificate of course completion under such circumstances. Duplicate certificates must be requested directly from CDD.

Privacy Policy: CDD will not share STUDENT's personal information with parties outside of its company. The information about STUDENTS collected by CDD is subject to this privacy policy. CDD recognizes the importance of protecting the privacy of its students and visitors to its web site while permitting CDD to conduct legitimate business. This information is used to provide STUDENT with the course of instruction as requested, to enable billing and shipping of the Certificate of Completion with verification to state agency, and any communication to STUDENT necessary to ensure graduation, processing of certificate and or receipt of certificate.

Security Policy: CDD undertakes extensive precautions to ensure the security of STUDENT'S information both online and offline. All STUDENT information is encrypted and protected by SSL, the finest encryption software available. While on a secure page, the lock icon on the bottom of STUDENT's web browser will appear in the locked position.

Hardware and Software Requirements for Internet Use: An updated list of the technology required to operate an online course is available on the website. In addition, all courses require the use of a pointing device such as a mouse and speakers or headphones. No equipment is necessary to participate in a classroom course.

Third-Party Data for Internet Use: If required by the State Agency, STUDENT understands that for student validation purposes, CDD will access public databases from third party sources in order to extract driver's license and vehicle registration information. STUDENT authorizes CDD to access this information under the condition that it be used exclusively for the purpose of student validation.

Student Validation Requirements for Internet Use: If required by State Agency, STUDENT understands that he/she must respond correctly to personal validation questions taken from information retrieved from public databases throughout the course in order to verify his/her identity. If no information pertaining to STUDENT can be retrieved from the databases, STUDENT must submit to CDD a notarized Statement of Assurance. If a Statement of Assurance is required, STUDENT'S course will deemed completed only upon receipt by CDD of STUDENT'S notarized Statement of Assurance.

This agreement constitutes the entire contract between CDD and STUDENT, and verbal assurances or promises not contained herein shall not bind CDD or STUDENT.
